Flatbush Mixtape is a vibrant grassroots mutual-aid collective dedicated to fostering leadership and neighborly bonds within our community.
Our mission is to empower every individual to become a catalyst for change, ensuring that basic needs are met through the cultivation of a solidarity economy.
By weaving together diverse talents and resources, we create innovative opportunities for collective support and resilience, aiming to inspire an environment where everyone thrives.

Flatbush Mixtape is a proud member of the Flatbush African Burial Ground Coalition,
a Black-led, multi-racial group of local residents, activists, artists, architects, planners, and educators who work together to protect the Flatbush African Burial Ground from further desecration.
The FABGC seeks to preserve and steward the site, recently renamed Eve's Garden, for future generations. Eve was an African woman who, at the age of 110, died enslaved to Lawrence Voorhes, one of the largest slaveholders in Kings County.
Her remains are still at the burial ground and our work speaks on her behalf.
Self Care Sunday
We are honored to build relationships with those who have worked tirelessly to create liberation in the face of the many systems that undermine the connection and wellbeing of our communities. Caring for ourselves as we do this work is an essential part of these movements. Self Care Sunday is not just an event. It is an invitation for organizers, intentional neighbors, activists, and care givers to take time for themselves while balancing service to others.
