Join Flatbush Mixtape for Nabesgiving: a community potluck dinner of conversation, culture sharing and community appreciation as we celebrate and reclaim the spirit of true thanksgiving.
Date: Tuesday, November 28th
Time: 6pm
Location: Lefferts Historic House
452 Flatbush Avenue (at Empire Blvd)
Bring a dish from your cultural background, whether it's a recipe passed down through generations or a regional specialty from a place you lived before you came to Flatbush.
This is your chance to recreate a favorite family recipe from your childhood. You may need to call Aunt Alice for help.
Let's create a non-traditional feast that reflects the richness of who we are as a community.
From spicy curry to sauteed veggies grown by loving hands, every dish tells a story, and we want to hear yours!
As with all of our events, Nabesgiving is FREE to attend and we aim to eliminate barriers to participating.
We will share ingredients from groceries we receive in the coming week. Stay tuned for more info!
Instead of bringing a dish, if you are able to volunteer before, during or after the event, let us know. We appreciate your help!
Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you at the table!
RSVP below to attend or contact Tricia at 718-635-1089.

Why Nabesgiving?
Because right now in darkness, confusion and the complexities of life’s circumstances in the midst of it all, we have an opportunity to strengthen relationships between us across race, class, age and all the other lines that can divide us.
We want to take a moment to sit together, breath deep, eat well and knit the fabric of our beloved community more closely.
In doing so, we take a stand for more unity, more empathy, more connection and more inspiration.
Let’s get to the heart our humanity and cultivate the warmth, hope, and joy we need to sustain our hearts for the times ahead.
