Our work with the Flatbush African Burial Ground Coalition requires us to know when and how to escalate. We are proud to offer the chance to learn these skills to you, our community.
Join us for Direct Action 101 on October 24, 2021 12-4pm, virtually over Zoom.
This Community Direct Action Training will offer a space for community members to ground in the basics of direct action, explore how to plan a strategic and creative protest based on different points of intervention, and learn some of the fundamentals to assess risk and create safety before, during and after an action.
A little about our facilitators:
BlackOUT Collective is a radical full service direct action organization. We build organizations’ capacity to execute creative and effective direct actions in service of their organizing and advocacy work. We do this through providing personalized direct action trainings and on the ground action support. We see ourselves as a “Liberation Lab”- a container for experimentation, deep space visioning and learning.
