Grant Writing for Beginners.

Community organizers know better than anyone how to do a lot with a little. Creativity, hustle, and determination are in our DNA. And for those of us who are non-non-profits, it can be difficult to find sustainable funding to function as we do essential work.

Come learn the basics of grant writing to help fund the change you want to see in your community!

This workshop will provide organizers, small businesses and other groups with important tools and tactics to find and apply to grants as well as a space to share questions and ideas with an expert as well as one another.

We’ll be discussing and encouraging groups to apply for a grant from the Citizens Committee for New York City. These grants are specifically aimed at first-time grant writers and do not require 501c3 status. Workshop attendees should take some time to review Citizens’ informational videos, FAQs and sample applications here.

Join us for Grant Writing for Beginners on Sunday, January 9, 2022, 3-4:30pm, virtually over Zoom.
