Community Health Fair
Flatbush Mixtape is an emerging neighborhood movement that serves our neighbors through relationship building, providing direct services, & knitting together existing networks.
Our first, large-scale, free health + resource fair will be on January 31st 2021. The event aims to bring together over 25 neighborhood organizations at The Parkside Plaza on Parkside & Ocean Avenues from 11am - 4pm EST. Offerings include: free food, healthcare, tenants’ rights info, and urban gardening education. Opportunities for community engagement sign-ups will include: community clean-up, walking tours, grocery/pharmacy support, and translation, tech, & gift buddies.
We welcome all participants who are missions and value aligned who want to support. We are politically unaffiliated, interfaith, and donation based only.
Flatbush Mixtape aim to provide platforms which empower our neighbors to engage and shape our community. Our vision of mutual aid means bridging the work of those that came before us and forging new, synergistic partnerships.
“In the current moment, we remember that the work of interdependence belongs to everyone. We hope the structures we build for taking care of each other now, in crisis, will become building blocks for a more caring & accountable society in the future.” Mutual Aid NYC
This event will abide by all Covid-19 precautions and protocols.
This is how it went.
